On 31st January Stephan Kirchmeyer will present his lecture "Conductive Polymers for Industrial Applications" in Zoom
Abstract
For more than 20 years conductive polymers have supported technology progress specifically of electronic components. They are industrially used in the printed circuit industry, for capacitors and as layers in polarizers. One of the most prominent conductive polymers is PEDOT or poly[3,4-ethylenedioxythene]. Chemical, physical, and technological aspects of conductive polymers will be discussed.
Stephan Kirchmeyer has worked in the chemical industry and the University of Cologne for more than 30 years. During his time in the industry, he and his team developed the conductive polymer PEDOT to become an industrially scaled conductive polymer. He has published more than 130 articles and patents and has given numerous seminars on this topic at international conferences.
