ISPM RAS at the Dubai Future Solutions
27.11.2025

A team of scientists from ISPM RAS and MIPT has achieved significant international recognition by presenting their project at the prestigious Dubai Future Solutions – Prototypes for Humanity Forum held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, on November 17-20, 2025. The development was included in the top 100 out of 3,300 applications received from 120 countries, which allowed the authors to receive an invitation to personally present it at the Forum to investors and industry representatives. The project is dedicated to the creation of ultrabiocompatible nanoparticles for boron-neutron capture therapy (BNCT), one of the most promising treatments for complex forms of cancer. The proposed drug based on elemental boron-10 nanoparticles demonstrates significant superiority in efficacy over existing clinical analogues such as borphenylalanine. As noted by Sergey Uspenskii, senior researcher of the Laboratory Laboratory of Polymer and Composite Materials for Biomedical Applications of ISPM RAS, international patents have already been filed for the technology, and the developed pilot synthesis methods open the way to upscaling production. Participation in the exhibition increases the chances of the project attracting investments and forming partnerships for further development.
