Polymers 2026: Trends, Innovation and Future
02.07.2026

The conference "Polymers 2026: Trends, Innovations, and the Future" was held in Nanjing, China on June 25 - 28, 2026. Among the participants from various countries of Europe, Asia, Australia, and America was the Russian delegation, which included scientists of the ISPM RAS. The Director of the Institute, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Prof. Sergey Ponomarenko, delivered an invited lecture on the topic "Organosilicon [1]benzothieno[3,2-b]benzothiophene-containing oligomers and polymers for solution processible organic electronics." Dr. Muhammad Khavpachev, a scientific researcher at the Laboratory of Solid-State Chemical Reactions, presented a report on the mechanochemical production of solid dispersions of poorly soluble bioactive compounds with functional carriers, which was recognized by the organizers as one of the best oral presentations. Vladislav Potseleev, a postgraduate student at ISPM RAS, reported about the non-aqueous modification of chitosan with sorbic acid for the adjustable stabilization of ZnS quantum dots.
The conference featured 7 keynote and 22 invited lectures, 49 oral and 50 poster presentations on different topics including polymers and the environment, polymer networks and gels, green sustainable polymers, polymer synthesis, polymer processing, polymer composites, and polymer applications.
